Gaming Authority is now hoping for good days to come with the introduction of three new women in the chief executive role.
When Etain’s news about Jette Nygaard Anderson’s appointment in its chief executive come upfront the previous week, almost all the mainstream and vital press report has covered it referring it deploying the word “female” in their headline.
Some critics questioned the necessity and reason for mentioning her gender, stating that not many times a media emphasize the gender when the person is a male. According to modern socialism concept and the current scenario of woman contribution to the world economy, they have found such behaviour of the media highly unacceptable.
When the chairman of Entain Barry Gibson was asked about choosing Nygard Anderson, he told of her an outstanding and elegant candidate. He uttered the term readymade CEO to define her adroitness and capability.
Conversely, none can deny the fact of a tremendous lack of woman representation at the world FTSE 100 companies. The appointment of Nygaard Anderson takes the tally for CEO up to only eight, based on the virtual investment platform AJ bell.
New Beginning or a New Controversy!
Concurrently with the given announcement of Entain, the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) proclaimed the name Lunda Cavanaugh as intern president and also chief executive and another name Cristine Niculae has been referred by the Malta Gaming Group as their CEO.
While the world business has a poor history of providing a balanced gender representation at its upmost level, the gaming industry has far too behind the curve at this regard. With the hiring of Nygaard Anderson, the British gaming industry has established the first benchmark of giving a female a shot in a CEO post.
Russ Mould, AJ Bell’s investment director, says that though the industry is a bastion of male control, Nygaard Anderson will obviously take the company to its advancements. The investors and shareholders are doubtless about an imminent phenomenal success under Denise Coates as a demonstration of the fact that skill and motivation matter more when the gender doesn’t.
No matter how many portions of the industry will get affected by this, but the speech given by Russ Mould will be motivating for the new CEO for sure.
