Sands Decides to Sell Las Vegas Property

Las Vegas Sands has decided to invest in its Asian business. That’s why it has announced to sell its most popular Venetian Casino with a deal of $6.25bn (£4.5bn). The death of chief executive and Chairman Sheldon Adelson was verily sad news for the entire Sands empire. However, the news came after two months of his death. Sands now aims to enlarge its business in Macau and Singapore with the revenue it got from selling Venetian.

At present, David Beckham is helping to build the gaming hub in Macau with a London-theme. Macau and Asia’s revenue helps for the growth of Las Vegas activities, and Mr. Adelson pushed hard for it. There are conversations about selling Las Vegas properties before his death.

The new Chairman and chief executive Robert Goldstein said that their company’s primary purpose is its development. They see meaningful opportunities with it. The growth in Singapore and Macau is their immediate attention, but Asia will consider the backbone of their company as before. The luxury Palazzo hotel and the Sands Expo Convention Center are also included in the Venetian complex.
