The field of casino resort schemes has become half at the City of Richmond. It remains three casino bids, including one Casino and Bally’s Live.
Capital City rejects three of the six Casino’s submitted proposals, according to Mayor Levar Stone’s Office. For various reasons proposal from Golden Nugget, Pamunkey Indian Tribe and Wind Creek has eliminated.
Other dismissals cited factors such as deficiency of the bid, lack of organizational experience, financial projections feasibility concerns and lack site control, a press release.
Bally’s are the remaining contenders. Bally’s Richmond Casino Resort is the brand for their respective casinos; live! Hotel Richmond and Casino and Resort + one casino.
Review Process of Richmond Details
According to the legislation which passed last year by Gov. Ralph Northam (D), The Virginia Capital retains all the qualification for the casino resort license. On the commercial gaming issue, a referendum passed by the local voters. In the hope of boosting the regional economy, a gaming project can authorize by the five cities.
