MGA Suspends the Gaming License of Watch World Luxury

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has suspended the gaming licence of Watch World Luxury, a popular watch retailer in Malta. Accordingly, the company can no longer offer gaming services, operate as a service provider, register new players or accept deposits from them.

As per the MGA, Watch World Luxury has failed to comply with the authority regarding an order issued to them, thereby, also failing to ensure the integrity and availability of regulatory data essential for determining transparency and fairness.

The retailer has further failed to designate key function roles within its business, which is a direct breach of regulation set by the Malta Gaming Authority. It is to be noted that World Watch Luxury held a Type 3 B2C gambling service licence, which was issued in 2018 to enable the company to offer games on its sites WorldWatchLuxury.com and OneOnHundred.com.

The company used to organise draws on its social media pages to market and sell its watches. Currently, both the sites have been taken down. However, World Watch Luxury may choose to make an appeal to revoke the suspension.
