MGM Springfield reopens 24-hour activities

Massachusetts allowed all the operations of casino in full swing. But the capacity is reduced to operate the business all day long. The significant properties are preparing to reopen the activities for overcoming the loss, which is occurred due to the pandemic situation of COVID-19. On the upcoming 29th January, MGM Springfield is restarting the business.

The govt. authority has announced some removal of the lockdown, so the casinos have to open the daily activities from 9.30 pm to 8.00 am.  The owners can operate the business all night. It will be helpful for getting more revenue.  The business will be more secured and safer if the rules and regulations are followed, which is settled by the local government.

The owners can generate more profit after 10.00 pm.  Even the governor of that state allowed for operating a 24-hour business, but it will create some risk because of safety measures. The authority is trying to reduce the capacity for a better result.

Amenities of casinos should return

As the service is restarting in the state, all the amenities will be reopened again. Foodservice and others are returning very slowly. But sometimes the risk can be increased as the casinos are trying to keep the skeletal service.

It is a piece of very good news that the casinos are not closing the business at 9.30 pm. So, all night they are getting a chance to increase the revenue. The hospitalizations rate is decreasing by 10% in Massachusetts. The positive test numbers are also reduced by 32%.  As part of the operation, the MGM Springfield has come with a specific reopening plan. This design will allow the maximum facility for a specific move-in casino business.

All the casinos are starting up

It includes the social distancing, mask requirements and air quality checking along with other sanitation of casino areas. The Plain ridge park and Boston Harbor have also decided to start their activities from the next Wednesday. Results in the last month are slightly higher. In December, the gross gaming revenue is about $50 million. Gaming commission of Massachusetts recently announced the regulatory services in detail.
