MoU between The Dutch and The Malta Been Signed

The Dutch Kansspelautoriteit (Netherlands Gambling Authority) and the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for an enhanced cooperation purpose between them. Basing on this MoU, both entities will support each other and share the crucial information and best practices to bolster their liability towards law. They also take part in discussions on different policy matters that carry common interests.

Common Objectives and Crucial Information to be Shared

Both authorities will seek benefit from this understanding regarding common objectives of making gaming fair gaming environments, preventing criminality, and protecting individuals who are prone to fall into gambling addiction.

Considering the cash flow and the nature of the industry, corruption and unfair practices by the casinos are not an anomaly in the gaming business. Rather, they occur on a regular basis and with the worldwide installment of the online casinos and their popularity growing, such occurrences are now about to take a global shape. One way to thwart this threatening progression of infidelity and crimes for the regulatory authorities is to work cooperatively.

Rene Jansen, chairman of the Kansspelautoriteit, exclaimed with delight that the agreement with such international regulators like Malta Gaming Authority are objectified and captured in the MoU. These memorandums are a concrete foundation to disburse knowledge, go hand in hand, and feasibly exchange valuable information. Simultaneously, these operators will come to know that international regulators are bonded internally.

Regulators, responsible to ensure a safe gambling environment, are taking measures to fill the gaps amid the laws and rules. Throughout the past few years, they are attempting to outline their general goals and coming to an agreement to pursue them being aside.

The CEO of MGA, Heathcliff Farrugia, showed satisfaction upon this agreement and remarked the event as another step taken in the right direction.  He claimed that the newest MoU will follow other identical ones which the Malta Gaming Authority has signed with different other regulators over the past years. He said that this new agreement with the MGA is already yielding tangible results.
