This week the Unibet Interactive received mobile sports betting in Virginia to expand the four states presence.
The Virginia Lottery for the Kindred Group US betting arm issued a permit for mobile sports betting. In 4 US states, the Unibet will have the presence. And, upon launch in Virginia, it will have secured access for another eight markets. However, for the potential market expansion of the company, a key role is believed to play by Virginia.
First-Class Experience of Sportsbook
The Virginia Lottery awarded the Unibet with the mobile sports wagering permit “first-class sportsbook experience”. Unibet strongly believed that for the East Coast expansion, the critical state would be Virginia.
USA SVP of Kindred Group, Manuel Stan, stated that “to go live shortly is our aim and we expect the success in Virginia which we have seen in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Indiana.”
One of the largest US states is Virginia, and analysts believe that the sports betting market in the state could reach annual revenue of $370 million easily.
Key States Presence
Virginia’s pending launch will be the 4th brand of sports betting that already established a presence in the US market. The company included in the US market like Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Indiana, and for another eight states, it has secured market access. The latest among them is California and Arizona.
Unibet and Quechan Tribe signed a 10-year deal to secure the market access early, in February. The agreement signed to ensure early entry in the market for retail sports and mobile betting in California and Arizona. However, in terms of sports betting legalization, the two states are not entirely, and they are subject to regulatory approval.
“To continue our journey, we are thrilled in what we believe, and, in the world, it will become the largest gambling market.” Said Manuel Stan.
Unibet outlined that it would invest continuously in the US and expand its market to achieve a sustainable business model in growing its operations.
However, to provide responsible gaming to the customers, the sports betting brand become committed. Moreover, in the US, it becomes the first betting operator to offer its clients access to the software of Gamban self-exclusion. This software allows the wagering websites to block on any device.
